I did not find my 3 and 5 year olds throwing wet toilet paper wads onto the ceiling last week. And I most certainly did not scold them and then go grab my camera while laughing hysterically. This is definitely not what they looked like...
I did not hear my 5 year old daughter say things like, "I'm easy," and "These are big hairy balls," (innocently enough) and then laugh about it with all my friends. That would just be wrong!
I did not order $40 worth of food from Pizza Hut on Saturday so that I wouldn't have to worry about cooking or what to feed my kids for the rest of the day. No way! What kind of parent would do that?? And I most certainly did not eat half of the sausage pizza all by myself. Or most of the dessert, either.
I did not tell my kids that it was going to rain just so they would stop asking to go to the park. That would just be cruel! Nor did I tell them that it actually did rain during their nap, and that the ground at the park was wet, so that they wouldn't keep asking after naptime. Because that would be a downright lie, now wouldn't it?
Phew, that does feel good!
That's funny! I've been known to do some of the things you mentioned - especially about the park.
ReplyDeleteJust last week I too used the "it's too rainy" excuse to avoid park mayhem!
ReplyDeleteYour children are adorable. Is your husband in the Air Force? My brother is, heading to Iraq this fall.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, who taught them to do that? I hope my 3 year old doesn't learn to do something like that. I love that you took pictures of it though. :) My Not Me Monday
