Kindergarten Graduation and a Contest!

The local homeschool group that I just joined here hosted a little graduation/promotion ceremony for the kids on Monday night. It started at 7:30, so I stayed home with Graham, since he goes to bed much earlier than that. But Eric took Natalie and Erica and I got some pics before they left. I am so proud of her! She did great this year with her schoolwork and is already well into 1st grade stuff now.

Once I got the pics off the camera, I realized what a HORRIBLE job I did taking them (have I mentioned I'm still figuring out my camera? oh only a million times... ok, just checking). I told Eric that I REFUSE to shoot in auto because that is not going to help me learn. He suggested perhaps taking at least a few pics in auto, and then shooting in manual. Yeah, probably a good idea. *sigh*

Graham had his 6 month check up on Monday as well. Anyone want to take a guess on his weight? (If you're on IM and already know the answer to this, you don't get to play!) Winner (whoever gets it on the nose or to the nearest oz.) will get to choose an idea for a pic for me to take (I need practice!). It can be anything to do with my kids or not, any props, setting etc. You win, you name it, I'll shoot it (or do my darndest to). Guesses must be submitted via comments (I won't accept guesses through email, phone, in person etc.).

Here are some misc. pics from the last week.

And Graham is pretty much crawling now. He doesn't do it perfectly, but he can get across the room in no time flat. I took this video yesterday and he's already picked up speed and accuracy since then!

And yeah, I know I said I was gonna quit using my kids names and go back and change them all... and I did make some progress... but I don't know if it's gonna happen or not. Stay tuned I guess to find out lol.

  1. I'm surprised no one has guessed yet! My guess is 18 lbs. 8 oz. Let me know if I win! :)
